Old God tablets

Old God Shrines are hidden cult chambers dedicated to seven of the Gods. They are found along routes through the Mall, Old Woods and Catacombs, and contain followers, lore and occasional treasure.

These chambers are not the same as the repeatable world shrines that roll for Blessings and Curses, nor are they the multi-floor Shrine of Xxarteck.

Access

Each chamber entrance is sealed by a god-marked door. The door opens only while the player is aligned with that same god. Alignment can be chosen or changed through Father Desmond in the Church on Sunday.

Alignment also controls which recipes appear at the God Forge, but forging and chamber entry are separate interactions.

Kaal Kaal Dead In the worm-room variant. Behind the god-marked door on the third floor. At the lower-left side of the floor near the bone-altar mystery.
Daeus Daeus Deep In the room reached through the broken-elevator route beneath the Mall. Behind the god-marked door on the third floor. Behind the third breakable wall in the row of four walls.
Hagroth Hagroth Harvest Behind the god-marked door on the third floor. In the large-tree second-floor variant. At the upper-right side of the dining room.
Valtris Valtris Knowledge In the ancient-statue third-floor variant. Inside the cave at the clearing beside the giant-statue version of the first woods area. South of the entrance, beyond both a wire-cut barrier and a breakable door.
Nezroth Nezroth Flesh Behind the god-marked door in the corresponding second-floor mine room. Behind the god-marked door in the third second-floor mine variant. Behind the second breakable wall to the right of the entrance.

The mine and cabin layouts can vary, so the individual god pages describe recognizable room variants and barriers rather than exact coordinates.

What is found inside

  • Cultists provide short ambient lines and longer lore accounts about their god. The complete dialogue is kept in a collapsed section on each god's page.
  • Some chambers contain fixed items or equipment. Those rewards are listed with icons on the corresponding god page.
  • Chamber doors check the current alignment; finding a door while following another god is not enough to enter it.
