Inventory and Storage
Inventory and Storage covers the carried bag and the containers used to hold possessions outside it. The bag uses capacity units for item stacks. Containers have their own capacities and contents.
Bag capacity
The configured starting bag capacity is 14. An ordinary distinct item stack uses one capacity unit, regardless of the number of copies in the stack. Adding another copy of an existing stack therefore differs from adding a new kind of item. Items with a special capacity value can behave differently.
Quality variants are separate stacks, even when they belong to the same item family. Ordinary worn equipment is removed from the carried inventory and does not occupy a bag stack while equipped. Individual items can also have their own stack limits.
Using an Extra Pouch permanently adds one bag-capacity unit. The current capacity and occupied space are shown in the inventory interface.
Containers
| Container | Capacity | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Storage | Unlimited | Main storage and destination for ordinary pickup overflow. |
| Secondary Storage | Unlimited | Separate containers used by additional placed storage. |
| Fridge | Unlimited | Ingredient storage used by cooking. |
| Kennel | Unlimited | Pet storage at the Pet Shop; pet grants use it when the bag has no space. |
| Buried Treasure | 10 capacity units | Reward containers; their contents are withdrawn rather than used as ordinary deposit storage. |
Placed Primary Storage Chests access the main storage pool. Additional secondary storage can use separate containers. The Fridge and Primary Storage remain distinct from the carried bag and from each other.
Ordinary pickup overflow is sent to Primary Storage. When space must be cleared immediately, the game can open a compulsory storage check before allowing play to continue. Being overburdened can also prevent gathering resources.
Pet acquisition has its own overflow handling: pet grants can send the pet to the Kennel. Picking up an already placed pet requires room in the bag and can be refused when the player is overburdened.
Moving and discarding items
Storage supports dragging items between the bag and a container. Holding OK selects an item for dragging; Sprint transfers the full stack, and Control chooses a custom amount. Left and right change quantities; holding Sprint changes quantities in steps of ten.
The carried inventory can discard eligible items by dragging them outside the inventory or using Sprint. A discard removes the item rather than depositing it in storage. Key items and other protected possessions can have different restrictions. Default inputs are listed under Controls.
Sorting and searching
Container sorting offers Manual, Alphabetical, Time Added, Category and Sell Price. Sell Price places higher values first and unsellable entries at the bottom. These container modes do not change every inventory screen in the game.
Container search filters the selected category by the entered text and displays matching items alphabetically. Clearing the search text removes that filter.
Cooking storage
Cooking can use carried ingredients together with stored ingredients. Its storage choice distinguishes Fridge only from Fridge + Primary Storage. Secondary storage and the Kennel are not interchangeable with the cooking containers.
