Bathing

Bathing is a repeatable rest action at the player's home. It restores the player and resets several world systems without requiring sleep or waiting for midnight.

Effects

Bathing performs the following actions:

  • fully restores HP and MP;
  • removes most ordinary Blessings, Curses, and temporary status effects;
  • respawns monsters;
  • resets Mysteries;
  • refreshes certain rest-gated interactions; and
  • when the weekly-ready resource reset is available, regenerates world resources and mine layouts.

The resource reset is conditional. Monsters and Mysteries reset on an ordinary bath, but forage and mines do not regenerate after every bath.

Blessings and Curses

The common stackable stat Blessings and Curses are cleared by bathing unless they have been made incurable for a number of days. Other effects have their own rules:

Effect type Removed by bathing?
Blessing or Curse — ordinary stackable stat effect Yes
Blessing or Curse — incurable timed effect No; its day counter must expire
Tax Blessing or Tax Curse No; it lasts until the Tax Man's next cycle
Missed-sleep fatigue No; choose to Sleep
Battle-only state Normally ends according to its battle rules

Reset comparison

Bathing is not the same as sleeping or reaching midnight. It does not itself advance the date or roll a Moon Event, and it does not trigger a random Sleep Event. See Day/Night Cycle for a comparison of reset sources.
