Town — Conversation

When: Soul Fest is active.

  • “Not much gets me out of the apartment these days, but I sure do like a good carnival once in a while.”
  • “Getting away from Adrian for a bit doesn't hurt, either.”
Town Apartment — Initial conversation
  • “Boo.”
  • “Haha... just kidding.”
  • “Folks call me Pete, the Laundry Ghost.”
  • “Pete would be fine though... the rest is kind of obvious.”
  • “I mean, you wouldn't call someone "Adrian, with the Drinking Problem", but well, I guess they're not a ghost...”
  • “Anyways, it's nice to have a visitor. I don't get to talk to many folks.”
  • “So, uhh...”
  • “...”
  • “...Doin' some laundry?”
  • “No?”
  • “Well, that's pretty cool.”
  • “Anyways...”
    • Player responses: “What's the deal with that shrine?”; “Yeah...”
Town Apartment — Choice response

When: the player chooses “What's the deal with that shrine?”.

  • “Oh, yeah. That shrine...”
  • “People always want to know about the shrine.”
  • “It's never a "how's it going, Pete?". It's always "What's that shrine about?"”
  • “Well, I could tell you, ...but I'd have to kill you.”
  • “Heh, just some more ghost humor...”
  • “You'll need to be ready if you're gonna use that shrine, though.”
  • “It's kind of a dangerous thing.”
  • “Not too sure how it ended up in a laundry room...”
  • “If you go messing with a shrine like that without much experience dealing with the Old Gods, then you're not going to have a good time.”
  • “To start, go find 2 different God Shrines out there, and pray to them.”
  • “I know there's one in the mall, and one down in the sewers. They shouldn't be too hard to get to.”
  • “Once you've checked them out, come see me again, and maybe I'll tell you more about the shrine.”
  • “Besides, it never hurts to check out those old shrines. Well, usually.”
Town Apartment — Request or task

When: the player chooses “What's the deal with that shrine?”.

  • “Well, see you around...”
Greystone Estates — Conversation

When: After accepting By the Gods, praying at two different God Shrines, and returning to Pete.

  • “Very good... I can already tell you're more experienced with the Old Gods by the look in your eye.”
  • “Your skin is a little paler, too.”
  • “...Probably nothing to worry about.”
  • “I'll give you a little something extra for your trouble.”
  • “Here, close your eyes...”
  • “As for the shrine... just take a closer look at it.”
  • “There's more to that old thing than meets the eye...”
Town Apartment — Conversation

When: After praying at two God Shrines and returning to Pete to complete By the Gods.
