Farmhouse — Conversation

When: Klaus visits the Farmhouse to offer its basement expansion.

  • “Oh, hello there...”
  • “Your timing is quite uncanny.”
  • “I was just offering to assist my dear brother in some renovations.”
  • “The ground floor of this old farmhouse is in decent enough shape, but the foundation is an absolute mess.”
  • “If we don't do something about the crumbling old basement, the whole place might just fall in.”
  • “It's not a cheap job, however. I don't mind doing the work, but the material bill must be paid.”
  • “...Say... I'll bet you'd be able to get plenty more use out of a nice new basement than my gigantic brother could.”
  • “I doubt he'll be able to cough up the cash, but if you find yourself with some spare change, come talk to me.”
  • “I'd say about 10,000 should cover all of the supplies I'll need.”
  • “The price might sound steep, but a nice cool basement can offer some very unique utility to a farmer, such as yourself.”
  • “In any case... I don't think the floor will give in just yet, so there's no hurry.”
  • “Just something to think about...”

  • “As much as Hans appreciates the extra set of hands... I have no need for such things.”
  • “You see... I am a successful business man.”
  • “Yes, that's right. I have a lot of money, and my time is valuable.”
  • “This old ranch means little to me. The days of lucrative ranching are over.”
  • “...That said, I am sure we could work something out, if you, say, wanted to make some use of this space...”
  • “For the right price, I can put my construction skills to use.”
  • “I may not be a rancher these days, but I do know a thing or two about building.”
  • “Who knows, maybe if you get some life back in this old dump, my dear sister may even show up...”
  • “So...”
